Hey! I'm Noah.

a 17 y/o obsessed with startups in the pursuit of greatness.

About Me

becoming a unicorn person before a unicorn founder.

Noah Barbaros

My Journey

hey! if we haven't met before; i'm Noah, a 17 y/o obsessed with learning and "figuring it out". i don't have my life mapped out. i know what i like, and what i don't like, and i'm very biased towards action for things i like.

what i love, is entrepreneurship -- and right now, i'm exploring everything there is to it -- head first.

currently obsessed with:

startups
learning
writing essays
training for ironman

what drives me:

"figure it out" mentality

nth order of thinking

the 0 multiplier effect

results

random fact:

i launched a charity in grade 7 after watching people i love get cancer, scaled it 10x, and have been sailing since 12 but still can't drive.

cool stuff i'm doing now:

Antifragility Labs

SEO/GEO agency helping businesses rank for both search engines and AI. building internal software to eventually flip inside out and turn into a startup. current clients include Product Market Fit podcast, Mistral Venture Partners, and north&nova.

Intern @ Armilla AI

Did SEO / GEO for Y Combinator-backed AI insurance startup ($5M+ raised). drove 12x increase in impressions (5.46K → 66.2K), 5x increase in clicks, ranked on page 1 for high-intent KWs like 'AI insurance' (unranked before), grew backlinks 5x (1,379 → 7,706), and optimized for AI citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude.

From 0 to 0.1

my Substack documenting my journey from '0 to 0.1' -- sharing raw perspectives on life, startups, and entrepreneurship from a 17 y/o lens. bi-weekly essays + newsletters exploring the early stages of building something meaningful.

cool stuff i did before:

CoVenture

first-ever network for ambitious, entrepreneurial teens to connect and build cool stuff. hustled my way to 100+ users and came close to partnering with Clemson and Waterloo for campus expansion before shutting it down to chase better opportunities.

Intern @ Built for Impact

startup with support from U of T Rotman & Western Ivey. scaled outreach from 0 to 10,000+ users in less than 2 weeks, then worked on product and marketing to drive growth and user engagement.

Marketing / Consulting for SMEs

Wanted to find random ways to make money in high school so I did marketing for SMEs and eventually made decent money for a high-schooler. One of my favourite projects was coding a software that pulled info from social media (like Instagram) that then leveraged AI to assist with targeted ads.

MovItiative

mini charity launched in grade 7 (2019) to support cancer research after seeing everyone around me affected by cancer. grew from solo project to 20+ team members, scaled fundraising 10x, now spreading across school boards in Ontario.

i've built too many projects to count, from consulting projects for Samsung to winning hackathons — the small list here is my most recent + best work as of late. i don't want to make this personal website a clutter box.

newsletter + essays

i believe that entrepreneurship is its own dimension. launching a startup means entering uncharted territory -- you can't plan more than five steps ahead when existing solutions don't exist, so everyone's just figuring it out as they stumble through unknown terrain. in 0 to 0.1, you watch a 17 y/o (me) find their way through this "dimension." it's a raw look at the power of being a beginner and the insights that come with it.

a bit more about me

what i want to learn:

i love learning -- to learn is to grow, and the most successful people are the best learners. to not learn is to remain stagnant, and remaining stagnant isn't staying still, it's choosing to move towards failure. i just enjoy learning -- it's my third biggest hobby after eating + going out.

coding

i'm amazing at vibe coding. you should see some of the stuff i've built. actual coding on the other hand? pretty rough -- but it's a love/hate relationship because i'm obsessed with it. something not on here yet is that i'm an incoming intern @ Wealthsimple -- i'll work with their swe team which i'm super excited for. i'm constantly watching tutorials, and signing up for free courses to get better.

writing

i really love the idea of putting your ideas out there. not until lately had i realized how amazing the internet can be. not only that, but i truly believe writing trains a different part of your brain that is essential for both startups and life. when you're writing you're in this constant state of critical thinking (no ai allowed haha!) there's very few things (that i know of at least) that can do that.

guitar

i've been on and off with guitar over the past couple years -- i really need to get more consistent.

things i do outside of work:

soccer

i've played competitive soccer in one of Ontario's highest leagues since middle school. ultimately had to quit playing competitive in my final year of high school but i love the sport (still played varsity and made it to the provincial finals!)

running

when i quit competitive soccer i felt "yucky" -- always stressed, out of shape, etc. that's where i found running -- it hurt so much i couldn't think about anything else. since then, i've ran half marathons and plan to run my first full marathon in fall 2025. Ironman's the goal.

sailing

been sailing since a kid -- one of my favourite sports. and no, i'm not a rich yacht owner -- i sail small ~13 ft dinghy's.

biking

i'm on my bike at least 4x a week (might have something to do with not having my license yet...), but i genuinely love it.

a few things i live by as a 17 y/o in the pursuit of greatness:

having a "figure it out" mentality is the most important trait for having a good life

done > perfect

experiences make up success (not job experiences… i'm talking about life experiences)

by choosing not to do something, you're choosing to do something

treat work like a sport -- and yourself like an athlete

my dream life - besides the wife, kids, and dog (the boring stuff):

i want to be financially free at a young age -- once i can control my time, i can begin working on crazy ambitious things. until then it's hustle until the money's in.

i want to become a founder working on a startup that makes real change in the world. there's many unicorn startups out there -- yet only a handful make a tangible difference in this world -- i want to found one of them.

i want to not only retire my parents, pay off their mortgage, and debts, but i want to be able to comfortably give them a combined "salary" of 500k. i love them to death, and i know 500k is rich (i don't even know how i'd be able to spend it personally), but it's not even close to what they deserve.
